ChatGPT is all the rage these days. For the uninitiated, ChatGPT is a natural language processing tool driven by AI technology that allows you to have human-like conversations and much more with the chatbot. The language model can answer questions and assist you with tasks like composing emails, essays, and code.
So how much does ChatGPT “know” about The Patissier? We were curious and decided to put it to the test.
1. First off, we fired ChatGPT a direct question about The Patissier:
The response was pretty much accurate except for the bit on the founders. So, not bad.
2. Then we asked ChatGPT about our operating hours:
ChatGPT seemed to think that we operate at multiple locations. And the operational timing (10am - 8pm) was also inaccurate. Then again, there was a time when we did operate till 8pm. But this was some years ago.
3. We then asked ChatGPT about our products:
Now this was
the one that it did poorly. Other than Strawberry Shortcake, the other cakes
listed were hardly recognizable.
4. Next, we asked ChatGPT for information on The Patissier’s owners:
This one
generated the most chuckles. We have no clue who the two listed owners are.
While ChatGPT has managed to discover that we used to operate in Taiwan
(although this was fully owned by The Patissier and not a JV), we have never operated
in Shanghai.
5. Moving on, we asked about the number of shops we have in Singapore:
According to ChatGPT, we have THREE stores, two of which (#2 and #3) we ourselves do not know about.
6. Next, we were curious about what ChatGPT have on our customer service standards:
And it
seemed like whatever ChatGPT could derive about our service was quite positive.
7. We then wanted to know what ChatGPT had to say about our delivery service:
The information was generally accurate. We were also rather impressed that it has picked up on our “relatively higher” delivery fee and the reason for this being so.
8. We then asked ChatGPT about our social media presence:
Again, the information provided was pretty accurate, although we do not operate
on Twitter.
9. Finally, we decided to throw ChatGPT a general question:
All we can say is, ChatGPT has pretty good taste! 😆
So, what did our little experiment tell us about ChatGPT? We were rather impressed with the response generated. However, some of the facts remained flawed. As such, one should take the information with a pinch of salt. And especially with factual information. But with the rapid advancement in AI, we reckoned it would not be long before ChatGPT would get all its facts right. And hopefully when the day comes, The Patissier is still one of the best cake shop in Singapore… according to ChatGPT.
